Founder and Director

Hi, I’m Larissa!

I started Blue Ocean Assistive Co. with a simple goal: to create a service where people with a disability feel truly supported, respected, and empowered to live the life they choose, with the right people by their side.

With a background in psychology and management experience at one of Australia’s largest disability service providers, I was fortunate to be mentored by senior leaders in the sector. Their knowledge, values, and commitment to inclusion shaped how I approach disability support today.

Most recently, I have witnessed the challenges that can arise when services aren’t delivered with the right systems, values, or participant focus. This highlighted for me the importance of clear communication, ethical practice, and genuine, participant-centred care. Those lessons became the foundation of Blue Ocean Assistive Co.

I’m known for my caring nature and hands-on approach. I take the time to listen, ensuring every service is tailored to each person’s unique needs and NDIS goals. For me, it’s not just about providing support; it’s about building real connections, making a positive difference each day, and guiding a team of support workers who are skilled, compassionate, and truly love what they do.

Outside of work, I’m a proud mum of two. I love spending time with my family, relaxing at the beach, and practicing mindfulness meditation- all things that keep me grounded and connected to what matters most; people.
